Excellent Supplement/Reference For Work/School

This is quite a bit smaller than than the other BarCharts I have purchased. It's about the size of a large index card, does not have binder holes, opens like a book, and is laminated. It is very nice. I do not have problems reading the text. A reading magnifier would help anyone who does.

I am a huge fan of the BarCharts and have many. This one is nicely laminated, fits well in a binder or just by itself. They are great for a quick reference, supplementing your textbooks, or having in your workplace for a quick look. I do realize that in a world of Google some might think these obsolete. For me nothing can beat something tangible. I have not been disappointed with any of the BarCharts that I have purchased.

Size of an index card.

I thought this would be much larger. It was only slightly bigger than an index card. The words are very tiny. The lamination is of strong quality, so that's a plus. Also the diagrams are very precise and simple to navigate. I just wanted it to be a full size diagram.

Bought for Anatomy class and very happy I did. It is very detailed and the photos and colors are vivid and labeled well. It is an excellent study tool. I 3-hole-punched mine so I could put it in a binder. That was very helpful to me. I would recommend this for anyone studying Anatomy, or even Physiology, especially for the price.

About the Author
The Author: Yak-hwee Tan received her Ph.D. in religion, with an emphasis in New Testament from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee. She is Lecturer in New Testament Studies and Koine Greek at Trinity Theological College, Singapore. Her research interests are biblical theology, feminist criticism, Asian hermeneutics, and postcolonialism.

Sure to be a collector's item - Mick Jagger's ex spills all

I couldn't help wondering if Jerry Hall ever regretted writing this one, penned while she was still bonded with Mick Jagger. Was it ever used as "evidence" in her divorce trial? Did it return to haunt her?
Forgetting those questions, this book is just a fun romp for readers, as Jerry opens up and lets loose on her philosophy about how to handle men...including Mick, who Jerry admits was far than faithful. The picture section is a nostalgic trip through rock's early days and Jerry's younger years as a top model and crazy woman.
My advice? Grab a copy now while the price, high as it is, is within reach. You won't regret it!

If you don't like the past , then honey make something up.

I bought this book many years ago when I was a teenybopper and gaga for Jerry. I think Jerry is the stuff that Jackie Collins novels are about. Sex, drugs and rock and roll, but you won't find those stories here. According to Jerry, she's a light drinker, never takes drugs and never did a naughty thing in her whole life. There is a story here though about low self-esteem and an inability to forget a background of poverty and abuse. In her own way Jerry shows herself to be insecure and ego-driven as well as just plain greedy. But whatever, she is fabulous and I still love her. As far as models go, she was one of the best there ever was because I think she really tried. The pictures of her and Antonio Lopez (by Norman Parkinson) are probably the best fashion photos I have ever seen. The energy and just plain sexiness of the pictures leap right off the page. Actually the book itself is held together with pictures. Maybe someday Jerry will sit down and tell us all the real story about how she got her first fur coat and where all those sleazy pics of her on the net came from. And of the money and the men (and women) and the GLAMOUR!!! Please note how many times Jerry uses the word glamour or glamourous. Jerry's Tall Tales has its charm and even if it's not high lit people will be amazed and astounded that you own it. 5 stars just for all the laughs it has given me and hey, just because it's Jerry!!

The essence of Classical Yoga stands the test of time

Over the years many Yoga fads have come and gone, but the Complete Illustrated Book of Yoga gives the essence of Yoga without any gimmicks. With a focus on Hatha Yoga, it covers the philosophy, the classical postures, relaxation, diet, breath and the psychology of Yoga. First published in 1960 by Swami Vishnudevananda a recognized Indian master of Hatha and Raja Yoga, the book offers a program for Yoga practitioners of all levels. I first purchased this book in the 1970's and it has served as the basis of my 40 year practice of Yoga. Rereading the Book of Yoga after so many years, it is still fresh and inspiring.

Best yoga book ever!! Great illustrations of the classic Yoga postures. Background information on the science of Yoga, information on diet and the Yogic lifestyle. The only Yoga book you will ever need.
