I was looking for the edition pictured here and I got the updated and very revised edition, which is nothing like the original and has a different cover. I highly recommend the original of this book, however, not the updated version.

A pearl of a book

It is one of the most helpfull books I have ever read. It has to be read slowly, sometimes few lines by few lines, you will feel when, and then it sinks in.....sometimes for days. I'm a very fast reader, normally some 50-100pgs/hour....but this one I read a page per 1 day, maybe....
This will sound weird, but it is helpfull to hold the book on your heart, preferably when sun shines on you, between reading some lines, before you read or after you read something that speaks to you.

Maybe this book is not for you at this time.....this is not important, get it, try it and if it is not sell it on again let it circulate, to find her way to the neady.

Get it and enjoy it.

Robert Adams was a great teacher with a fascinating story. He is probably the closest Western teacher to Ramana Maharshi, with whom he studied. The book is poorly edited, and his satsang transcripts are available for free online. The CD was short, with hardly any dialogue, and some light New Age-type music. So, I would skip this book, but check out online his satsang transcripts. I think where he errs, if you like, is forgiven when he sounds so similar to Bhagavan in key points. At the end of the day, though, stick with Bhagavan. Thus, Adams is something of a compelling footnote to Bhagavan, in this reader's perspective. Thank you for reading.
