Ready to go find my treasure.

What a great book. Mark is very humerus. I didn't expect to be both informed and entertained. I picked the book up because ever since childhood I've dreamed of treasure hunting with a metal detector. The price of a detector was always what stopped me, but after reading Mark Smith I'm inspired to sell anything valuable I've got laying around so I can find a detector and go out hunting for treasure, just like I've dreamed about since my childhood. He encourages you to just get started even if you start with a basic cheaper machine and boy am I. I've been eyeballing a $4,000 machine for years but haven't taken the plunge for the price, but with the info I've learned from his book, I feel I can safely buy a used decent start up machine for a few hundred. Although, admittedly, he doesn't advice this for beginners.
No more videos and books and dreaming for me. Mark, thank you for the fun read, I'm off to find my treasure.

The best book for a great hobby!!!

What a great way to start a new hobby. I bought this as a gift for my brother but started reading it bored at work. I felt myself wanting to try this exciting new hobby after reading only a few pages. Now my brother has to wait until I finish it. It has tons of tips, lots of informative information and is written in an easy to read format. I felt like I knew this guy after reading it. I would recommend this book to anyone who may have an interest in Metal Detecting. This book has it all. Thanks Mark Smith
