Best Java EE Book I've Found

I've tried a few Java EE books, and this is the best one I've found for beginners. As another reviewer said, getting the examples up and running can be a bit challenging as there's not a great walkthrough of configuring and setting up your environment. Other than that, it's a great book.

Very useful book

This book delivers on it's promise.
I started to read it as a complete neophyte and now after I've finished it I have a solid understading of the Java EE platform. It gave me enough of an understanding, that with a help from some online manuals I can start developing Java EE applications.
I'd happily give it 5 stars if it were not for some typos and small editing mistakes I noticed.

Great book but not e-ink friendly.

This book has been a great aid in progressing from Java SE to Java EE development. The author gets to the point without a whole lot of fluff.
My reason for the three stars is due to how the code sections are illustrated. If you're reading on your phone or tablet you should be OK. On e-ink devices (e.g. kindle keyboard) however, the code sections are barely visible. They seem to show up as very bad grey scale images. The rest of the book's content is displayed fine. Surely there must be a better way to format the code sections for e-ink devices.
